Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains how Mic O Phone ("the app", "we") handles your information. The short version: your microphone audio stays on your device and is never recorded or sent over the internet. We do not ask for an account and do not collect any personally identifying data. We use Firebase Analytics to measure app usage in a strictly anonymous and aggregated way, with no advertising tracking.
Data we process
Mic O Phone captures audio from your device microphone and streams it in real time to the audio output you choose (a Bluetooth speaker, the system output, or a connected audio device). The audio is processed on-device and is never stored on the device or transmitted to our servers.
Permissions
The app requests two permissions. The microphone permission is required to capture your voice live. The Bluetooth permission is required to detect Bluetooth audio devices and pick the right output. Both permissions can be revoked at any time from your device settings, but the app will not work without them.
No account, no profile
Mic O Phone does not require sign-up. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, location or contacts. No advertising identifier is collected: on iOS the IDFA is never requested, and on Android the advertising ID is explicitly disabled.
Anonymous usage analytics
We use Firebase Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd) to understand how the app is used and improve it. The data we collect is technical and anonymous: a Firebase-generated installation identifier (not tied to your identity), device model, operating system, language, approximate country derived from the IP address (the IP itself is not stored), and usage events (for example: selected effect, microphone session duration, paywall opened, purchase completed). No audio content, no personal information and no advertising identifier are transmitted. Data is kept for 14 months on Google's servers then automatically deleted.
Subscriptions and in-app purchases
Subscription access to voice effects is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). Your payment information is handled by these stores under their own terms and privacy policies. We only receive a confirmation that a subscription is active for your device. We do not see or store your payment details.
Third parties
The app relies on only two third-party services: Firebase Analytics (Google) for the anonymous usage analytics described above, and RevenueCat to handle subscriptions. No advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs are integrated. Apple and Google may separately collect data tied to subscription processing under their own privacy policies.
Children
Mic O Phone is suitable for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect data from children, because we do not collect personal data from anyone.
Your rights
No personally identifying data is associated with you on our side. The anonymous technical data collected through Firebase Analytics can be deleted on request: contact us via the Support page mentioning that you want your installation identifier removed, and we will delete it from Firebase. Uninstalling the app also invalidates that identifier. For payment or subscription data, contact Apple or Google directly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the app or in applicable laws. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always shows when the current version was published.
